Feel stronger, steadier, and more confident on your feet — with physio at home.
The Straight Up Program is Jasmine Health Care’s tailored strength and balance training program, designed to help improve your strength & mobility, reduce the risk of falls, and support you to do things you want to be doing. It can be done through home visits or online.
Falls are one of the most common causes of injury for all ages, not just older adults — but they are also one of the most preventable. Through targeted, evidence-based physiotherapy, this program helps you stay safer on your feet.
What is the Straight Up Program?
Straight Up is an 8-week strength and balance training program that can be delivered in your home, via telehealth, or at the gym. It’s designed specifically to improve strength and balance, build your ability to cope with balance challenges and better allow you to do the things you want to be doing. All sessions are with a physiotherapist.
Who It’s For
Straight Up is ideal for people who:
- Feel unsteady on their feet or have had a recent fall
- Have lost strength, eg. after illness or time in hospital
- Struggle with walking, standing from chairs, or climbing stairs
- Want to maintain independence and continue living safely at home
How Do I Do Straight Up?
You can choose between an 8-week intensive challenge (recommended) or ongoing regular sessions, depending on your goals and preferences.
Intensive 8-Week Challenge includes
- Initial consultation, assessment, and information session
- One supervised exercise session per week
- A 40-minute individualised home program to complete 2–3 times a week
- Ongoing support to keep you motivated
- Progress checks throughout and a final review at the end
- Recommended maintenance program with continued support afterward
Sessional version includes
- Initial consultation, assessment, and information session with a qualified physiotherapist
- 40-minute supervised sessions at your preferred frequency
- A personalised home program to follow 2–3 times a week
- Ongoing progress checks and motivation
- Continuous support to help you achieve your goals
Exercises are designed to be simple, achievable, and gradually progressive — no gym required. The goal is to help you feel stronger, more stable, and less fearful of falling.
