FAQs

The initial physiotherapy session is usually a little longer than subsequent visits. It may take 45-60 min but can be shortened if you request.

At your first session, a physiotherapist will discuss with you what you are most wanting from physiotherapy and will gather relevant health and medical information from you.

They will assess your physical health and develop a diagnosis to guide treatment, which will usually begin at the first session.

We will develop a Treatment Plan with you, usually at the second session. This helps ensure we are always working well together and making the best use of your time and resources.

To achieve the lasting results you want, exercise makes a big difference. It helps build stronger joints and muscles, promotes more complete healing and protects against future injury.

Your physiotherapist will design a program specifically for you. This doesn’t need to be large or complex but brings lasting benefits if done regularly.

It’s often best to do your exercise program in the morning even if you have to get up a little earlier because you are fresher and there are fewer distractions.

If you need to cancel your appointment we understand but ask that if possible you give us 24 hours’ notice, so someone else can have that time slot.
