PD Power – Parkinson’s Physiotherapy

A targeted, neuro-active program to improve movement and quality of life for people living with Parkinson’s disease.

PD Power is an exercise-based program developed specifically to help slow the progression of Parkinson’s disease. It uses neuroplasticity promoting exercises to help retrain the brain and body, improving movement, balance, flexibility, and overall wellbeing.

Unlike general fitness or gym programs, PD Power targets the unique motor and neurological challenges that come with Parkinson’s — and it’s designed to be enjoyable, achievable, and results-focused.

Starting the program soon after receiving your diagnosis of PD can lead to better long-term outcomes, but it’s never too late to benefit from specific exercise.

Key Benefits

PD Power helps you:

  • Improve everyday movement and mobility
  • Continue doing activities you enjoy
  • Boost energy, posture, and flexibility
  • Feel more in control and less anxious about the future

How Do I Do PD Power?

You can take part in this program at home, in the gym, or via telehealth — depending on what’s most convenient and motivating for you. Choose between an intensive 10-week challenge with a defined structure (strongly recommended) or regular ongoing sessions that fit into your routine. All sessions are with a physiotherapist trained in Parkinson’s exercise and care.

Intensive 10-Week Parkinson’s Exercise Challenge:

  • Initial consultation, assessment, and information session
  • Weekly 40-minute mobile or online supervised exercise sessions
  • A home program to follow at least 3 times a week
  • Support and motivation throughout the challenge
  • Regular reviews and a final session assessment
  • Ongoing sessions at your preferred frequency and support afterwards

Ongoing Regular Sessions:

  • Personalised assessment, planning and information session
  • Supervised 40-minute sessions on a schedule that works for you
  • A customised home program to complete 2 or more times per week
  • Ongoing monitoring and progress reviews
  • Continued support to help you achieve lasting results

This program is ideal for anyone with Parkinson’s disease who wants to take proactive steps to stay stronger, more mobile, and more independent through a mobile or online program. It’s especially effective in the earlier stages.

PD Power uses neuroactive strategies that are designed to stimulate specific areas of the brain affected by Parkinson’s. It’s more targeted and therapeutic than regular gym workouts.
