Glenys Walker is a physiotherapist who has worked with older adults in a variety of settings, for much of her professional life. She stands for three main things:
Glenys combines knowledge and common sense with what the bigger health picture and physiotherapy research indicate for each client. She puts the pieces of the puzzle together and doesn’t stop until the client’s condition(s) and treatment pathway are clear. In this way, she helps seniors to identify their potential and goals, using their own optimal way to reach them.
In addition to extensive aged care Glenys has also worked with wheelchair teams including at the Paralympics. She has worked in clinics, rehabilitation and a range of occupational health settings. Glenys is a qualified manual handling trainer. She has designed and supervised physiotherapy student placements for UWA.
In her spare time she enjoys friends, family and attending live events. For fitness Glenys does Pilates, walking and is now lifting weights.
